We drove the corvette to the monthly meeting of the Corvettes of Bakersfield car club held at Three-Way Chevrolet. It was a bit chilly, but the corvette worked very well. We need to adjust the headlights, fix one of the tail lights, and get the dash lights working.
Refinished The Spare Tire Cover
Removed some paint and the remnants of the old instructions. Lightly sanded, stained, added replacement instructions, varnished, and waxed to make it look used, but well taken care of.
Fixed bent Tie Rod Ends
Fixed the bent tie rod ends on the driver’s side. They got bent while winching the corvette onto the trailer for its trip to Bakersfield.
New Rear Shocks
Added new rear shocks with springs to help level out the car. Rides great now and looks better too. Took it for a test drive out to R&M Tire in Old River to get a new spare tire. Made it there and back without incident.
Test drive today
Took the Corvette out for a test drive today. It was great cruising the neighborhood. Worked great! Thanks Dave.
Replaced missing hood latches

Radiator hoses replaced
Replaced the old hoses with period correct hoses.
